Let Kepler Handle Your Space-Generated Data
KU-BAND SERVICE
With technology tested and deployed on 19 satellites in space, Kepler’s Ku-Band Service has proven flight heritage in low Earth orbit over the past five years. Flown as a hosted payload, our technology enables high-speed data transmission services to satellite operators by combining all required components into one solution.
HOW IT WORKS
INTEGRATE OUR KU-TERMINAL
Kepler’s Ku-Terminal can seamlessly integrate onto any satellite 2U or larger.

LAUNCH YOUR SATELLITE MISSION
Our Ku-Terminal is flown as a hosted payload.
TURNKEY SOLUTION AVAILABLE FOR USE
Kepler’s Ku-Band Service gives operators access to our spectrum licenses and global ground station network.

SEND YOUR DATA TO EARTH
Meet high-speed demands with peak data rates.
SOLVE YOUR DOWNLINK BOTTLENECK
The demand for space-generated data is higher than ever before with exponentially increased downlinking needs from government and commercial sectors globally, creating backlogs and bottlenecks preventing the efficient transfer of data to the earth. Critical increases in space data are a result of improved earth observation imagers, governments requesting more frequent insights to better predict and detect matters of national concern, and an increase in commercial data applications regarding agriculture, forestry, land-use, mapping, and insurance. Kepler’s turnkey Ku-Band Service provides cost-effective technology and infrastructure needed to alleviate these bottlenecks, allowing satellite operators to focus on the mission.
Kepler’s Ku-Band Service is your solution to downlinking high-speed data including optical images, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, infrared images, hyperspectral images, RF geolocation data, and more.
Our comprehensive Ku-Band Service enables customers to move large amounts of data with a complete solution combining access to our spectrum licenses, existing ground network, and the simple integration of a Ku-Terminal on any satellite, 2U or larger. We offer end-to-end integration services to ensure customers have continual support for a successful mission.

Product Features
Utilizing Kepler’s global ground station network and regulatory licenses, the Ku-Band Service can rapidly downlink on-orbit data through a high-speed software-defined radio and antenna payload easily integrated onto a customer satellite. The Gen 1 service uses DVB-S2 with adaptive coding and modulation to fully utilize link margin with peak data rates up to 1.5 Gbps. Our technology can be used in a transparent mode, providing a high-speed link directly to a payload, or, in a ‘store-and-forward’ mode.
