Kepler is changing the face of satellite communications by launching a constellation of telecommunication nanosatellites! With the recent success of our Series A funding, a handful of early customers, and our first 13 satellites in orbit, Kepler is currently doubling in size!

We invest heavily to deliver the best products to our customers, and so we’re on the hunt for a top-tier Bookkeeper who will primarily be responsible for supporting bookkeeping and finance administration.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for assisting the Finance Department in their efforts to accomplish the company’s goals and objectives by providing accounting and financial support. This includes, preparation and recording of various journal entries, preparation of monthly account reconciliations and providing other financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate receipt of payment of accounts.

Position Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare and process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner ensuring documentation records are maintained.

Actively participate in month-end, year-end close processes, booking journal entries, preparation of monthly financial statements and providing appropriate level of review and analysis.

Process bi-weekly payroll and related remittances.

Manage office expense policy processes, approval and adherence to policy.

Prepare HST tax returns and other regulatory or corporate reporting requirements in a timely manner.

Maintain finance procedures and related process documents.

Assist with ERP systems and purchasing coordination as required.

Work closely with various stakeholders including Director of Finance and Operations team to provide ad hoc analysis and reports

Contribute to a team effort and undertakes other special projects as requested

Requirements:

Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting /Finance, or related fields.

2+ years accounting experience.

Previous experience with Canadian and international payrolls

High attention to detail and strong customer service skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.

Dependable and results driven.

Highly organized.

Well-developed analytical and problem solving and communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; specifically, advanced features of Excel.

Bonus Points:

Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced start-up environment

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (NAV) or ERP systems such as Netsuite
