Regulatory Associate
Regulatory - Remote (Global)
Kepler is changing the face of satellite communications by launching a constellation of telecommunication nanosatellites! With the recent success of our Series A funding, a handful of early customers, and our first two satellites in orbit, Kepler is currently doubling in size!

You will be responsible for securing MSS and FSS earth station licenses across the globe, interfacing with respective administrations to explain Kepler’s system and ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant regulations. In addition, you will work with the team to identify risks in ongoing developments at the ITU / CITEL / CEPT / FCC. This will include interfacing with the engineering team to understand the technical implications and drafting public responses or comments.

Other duties may include assisting the team with coordination work, review of inbound coordination requests as well as assessing newly filed systems for interference potential, link budget analysis and competitive concerns.

As part of your role you will:
• Advise on risks and business opportunities related to regulatory, commercial and innovation developments
• Contribute to the strategic direction for the company's growth and future plans
• Interface with Regulators, clients and partners to pursue company objectives
• Develop industry and government contacts, which can be leveraged to pursue strategic priorities

Required Skills

  • Experience in Licensing, Market Access, or spectrum related regulatory work.
  • Fluent in English and a second language, with exceptional ability to write and present formal documentation
  • Legal or Engineering degree preferred, with a strong ability to analytically solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ITU / CITEL /CEPT / FCC processes and gather relevant information to derive strategic ways of advancing an agenda
  • Self-driven with the ability to focus in an open-concept or remote work environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skill required
  • Bonus

  • Knowledge of a second or third language of high value
  • Existing relationship with regulators and/or relevant contractors
  • Ability and willingness to travel
